I played volleyball in University.  It was my passion and I absolutely loved playing it everyday.  In my 4th year I blew out my knee.  It was my first major injury that needed surgery and had a long rehab.  The injury was going to take me out of the game for a lengthy period. I lost my biggest passion, which my world was centered on.  During my first appointment with my doctor he gave me the greatest advice that I really needed at the moment.  He told me, ‘this isn’t a period in your volleyball career, it’s just a comma.’  It’s advice that I take with me for any injury and that I like to give to my clients. Just because you are in pain now, doesn’t mean it will last forever.  It is not the end, just a pause to what greatness can come. 

I’m Karissa—a certified Athletic Therapist, Massage Therapist, and Neuro-Reconditioning Specialist with a passion for helping you recover, move better, and live pain-free. I believe the human body is incredibly adaptable and resilient, capable of healing and lasting change with the right care and support. My approach is rooted in the belief that pain is not permanent, and no one should have to live in constant discomfort.
